Get Outside and Go Scavenger Hunting!

Eagle Point Blue Rapids Parks Council is working hard to help you ‘Find Your Wild’ this year and get you outside. We are happy to offer a fun, family friendly event running from February 15th to 21st at the Rotary Pembina Community Trails South in Eagle Point Provincial Park (next to River View Cemetery). The trail is approximately 3 km long if you choose to include Section D (where you will find the bonus clue).

Directions:  From the junction of 50 Avenue and 50 Street in Drayton Valley, head east for 2.6 km to the trailhead where you will find the starting point, map and entry form.

All About Alberta

This year, our Fire and Ice Scavenger Hunt will feature fun facts about Alberta. What’s highest point in Alberta? Which town used to be named Fort Brisebois? Which bird is our national bird? These fun facts plus more are sprinkled along the trails for you to find!

How to Play

Maps and Entry forms can be picked up at the trailhead or you can download here: Fire and Ice Scavenger Hunt Entry Form. Using the map, you can walk, snowshoe, or ski to find the 13 clues, including the bonus one! Once you have collected all of the clues, use the cipher to decode the images. One you’ve decoded the clue images and converted them to letters, you must unscramble the letters to find the mystery word. Submit your answer on a completed entry form to education@epbrparkscouncil.org by 9:00 pm on February 21st for your chance to win a one hundred dollar gift card to White Bull Cafe!! Function Over Fashion!

When you are out exploring our trails, please be sure to dress for the weather. A toque, mitts, coat and proper footwear will make your experience that much more enjoyable. Function over fashion! Stay warm out there! There is also a fun hill as you head from loop A over to B – put on your snow pants, bring a crazy carpet and slide down it!
