Free Fun at the Family Day Eve Fire & Ice Festival!

The Eagle Point-Blue Rapids Parks Council in partnership with the Town of Drayton Valley is pleased to be hosting the second annual “Fire & Ice Family Day Eve Festival.”  Please mark your calendars to check out this year’s festivities on Sunday, February 16th between 4:00-8:00 PM at the Downtown Park across from the Civic Centre in Drayton Valley.

Entertainment and Activities

Visitors to this free event will have opportunities to enjoy a number of activities. Entertainers from Indigo Circus will mesmerize you with displays of dramatic fire artistry and the kids will love the gorgeous Roving Ice Queen!  The skating rink in Downtown Park will be available for skating, a giant snowball fight (yes, snowballs, no whining if you get hit and only if conditions permit) will be held on the front lawn of the Civic Centre, the fire department will have their trucks on display, there will be wagon rides, music, dancing, fire bowls, burgers, hot chocolate, maple syrup taffy and cake.

The Drayton Valley Library joins our line-up with crafts and short movies! If it’s cold, you can pop in to the library to warm up.  February is the heart of winter so shake off those winter blues and get outside for some family fun and fellowship in our community!

Come Prepared

Please make sure to dress for the weather and consider bringing a lawn chair and a mug for hot chocolate. Also be advised 52 Street in front of the Civic Centre will be closed for the festivities.
