Get Your Nature On! Let’s Go!

Guardians of the Park Summer Day Camp invites kids aged 7 to 12 to immerse themselves in the wonders of the outdoors. Over four action-packed days, kids will engage in an array of nature-based activities designed to spark their curiosity,  foster teamwork, and create lasting memories.

Daily Adventures Served Up!

At Guardians of the Park Summer Day Camp, your child will go on exciting outdoor adventures! Each day, kids will participate in a variety of activities which encourage kids to learn new skills, gain confidence, fall in love with the outdoors and embrace outdoor fun:

• Building Shelters: Learn how to construct shelters using natural materials found in the wilderness.
• Learning Fire-Safe Lighting Skills: Learn how to light a fire with only flint and steel.
• Exploring Nature Trails: Trek through scenic nature trails while learning about local flora and fauna.
• Creating Nature Crafts: Get creative with hands-on crafting activities using natural materials.
• Foraging for Food: Let’s identify edible vs poisonous plants and safely forage for food in the forest.
• Outdoor Cooking: We have an outdoor cooking day to cook and sample fun campfire foods!
• Science: We’ll hunt for butterflies and set a moth trap!
• Orienteering Challenges: Find your way around the Pembina Nordic Trails with a compass.
• Playing Nature-Based Games: Engage in games and team-building activities inspired by nature.
• Get Active: Team sports, disc golf and fun team challenge activities in the great outdoors!
• Tipi Time: We wind down in the tipi at the end of each day!
• Chalet Lock Down: Our escape room activity is a favourite!

Ages 10 – 12 Additional Activities

• Archery: Learn the basics of archery/shooting under the guidance of experienced instructors.

OR

• Fishing!  We hope to offer a half day fishing excursion for the older kids!

Camp Dates & Age Groups

• July 9-12, 2024 (Ages 10-12)
• July 23-26, 2024 (Ages 7-9)

Daily Camp Hours

• Drop Off: 8:40 am – 9:00 am
• Pick Up: 4:00 to 4:20 pm (week 1)
• Pick Up: 3:00 pm – 3:20 pm (week 2)

The cost of the camp is $195.00 per child.

Cancellations made up to two weeks prior to first camp day will be eligible for a full refund (less processing fees). After this date, refunds will not be provided.
