Eagle Point Bird of the Year 2025

Vote for your favorite bird!

Let’s have a bit of fun while learning about the birds of our two parks!  Each year, we get our local bird “experts” to pick their top 10 birds. We compare their lists to find out if they’ve chosen the same birds.  This year, Swainson’s Thrush made all of the lists and 5 other birds made two of the three lists.  We had to bring in a bird enthusiast to eliminate of of those five to pare it down to a total of 5 birds for our annual Eagle Point Bird of the Year Vote.

It truly is a tough choice.  They’re all very special in their own way.  Click on each bird to learn more about their habits, their nesting behaviour, their migration (or not) patterns, what they eat, and what kind of habitat they enjoy.
