The Parks Council is a grassroots non‐profit organization comprised of local recreational organizations, landowners, government, and industry who are responsible for the planning, funding, and management of the Parks System. We are consistently recognized locally, provincially, nationally, and internationally for making a community effort to bring better management to public lands.
Join the Pembina Nordic Ski Club at the Pembina Nordic Centre in Eagle Point Provincial Park (just a few minutes north and east of Drayton Valley) for its Annual Ski Loppet AND for their 40th Anniversaty celebration at the Mackenzie Conference Centre!
The Loppet offers both classic and freestyle cross country ski events, with event distances of 26 km, 13 km, 5 km, 2.5 km and 1 km, so there is something for everyone. Start times on both Saturday and Sunday will be 11:00am.
The Anniversary Celebration will be on Saturday evening at the MacKenzie Conference Centre, starting at 5:00pm with cocktails, dinner (catered by Cobblestone) at 6:00pm, program and dance to follow.
Whether you're an avid skier, a beginner or never skied before, come support the PNSC. Come to participate, come to watch, come to volunteer, come to celebrate. All are welcome!
