The Parks Council is a grassroots non‐profit organization comprised of local recreational organizations, landowners, government, and industry who are responsible for the planning, funding, and management of the Parks System. We are consistently recognized locally, provincially, nationally, and internationally for making a community effort to bring better management to public lands.

Brazeau Bowbenders host Indoor 3D 50/50 Shoot

2015 Alberta Parks Winter Speaker Series

The Parks Council and Drayton Valley & District Community Learning Association are presenting the annual Winter Speaker Series again this year. The series features 10 speakers from across the province and this year the speaker topics revolve around community, land, and nature. The series is broadcast every Tuesday beginning in mid-January from Room 4 of NorQuest College from 7-8pm. This is a free speaker series and is a great opportunity to broaden your knowledge regarding the environment and communities. The speaker series runs until the end of March when the Parks Council will be presenting live on their projects and partnerships with local schools.
