DESCRIPTION:Looking for a fun family activity that gets you outside? Join us for a Gold Panning Workshop on August 24\, 2025\, at the near the Willey West Campground! Perfect for families with children 10 years of age or older.  This workshop offers a hands-on introduction to gold panning. \n \nWorkshop Details\n\nDate: Sunday\, August 24\, 2025\nTime: 11 AM – 4 PM (1-hour lunch break)\nLocation: Willey West Campground\, 49131 WILLEY WEST RD\, Brazeau County\, AB T7A 2A2 (at the new West Central River Boat Association’s boat launch)\nSpots Available: 20\nRegistration Deadline: August 15\, 2025\nAges: 10 + (no expectations will be made to this)\n\nWhat’s Included\n\n4 – 6 Hours of Instruction: Learn from an instructor and then practice in the river\nAll Tools Provided: Everything you need to learn is supplied\nSnacks and Refreshments: Enjoy during the day\n\nWhat You Need to Bring\n\nA chair for each family member\nLunch\nAppropriate clothing for the weather\nShoes to go into the river\n\nIMPORTANT\n\nThis workshop involves physical activities such as hiking along the river\, and being bent over for extended periods of time. Participants must be physically fit and capable of moving freely in an outdoor environment to participate in this workshop. If you have mobility restrictions\, please reach out to jenn@epbrcouncil.org to determine if this workshop is a good fit for you.\nAs this is a family workshop\, each child under the age of 18 will require a participating registered adult at the workshop with them.\nThis workshop will run rain or shine\, so please dress for the weather.\n\nInvestment\n\n$90.00 + GST per adult (18+)\n$60.00 + GST per child (Ages 10 – 17)\n\n
