Event Details

On August 10, join Eagle Point Staffer Kathy on one of two nature hikes in Eagle Point Provincial Park!  Learn about the plants, fungi and animals of the park while you enjoy the gorgeous mixed woods! Bring a water bottles, snacks, appropriate clothing and footwear.

Hike #1 – HILLTOP TRAILS – MODERATE (10:00 am to 11:30 am)

Meet at Hilltop Trailhead (just above the Willey West Campground entrance) at 10:00 am.  Hilltop Trails is a moderate walk/hike on natural terrain, suitable for families with children 6 and up.  Hilltop Trail features a myriad of mushrooms and wildflowers, several species of trees and some great views of the river below.

Hike #2 – WILLEY WEST CAMPGROUND NATURE TRAILS – EASY (1:00 pm to 2:00 pm)

Meet at the Trapper’s Tent for a one hour stroll through Willey West Campground’s beautiful trails.  We’ve explore both the forested Nature Trail where ferns and high bush cranberries put on a spectacular display, then head over to the Riverside Trail to look for Peregrine Falcons, Bank Swallows, wolf willows and more!
