Turning public land into protected areas will not happen over night. During our planning phase, we encourage visitors to use existing facilities and services. If recreating in other parts of the new protected areas, we ask that visitors respect the land, leave no trace of garbage and stay informed on interim policies and regulations.

Pembina - Rotary Community Trails: Check out the Pembina Rotary Community Trails just east of Drayton Valley on 50th Ave (trail head on west side of cemetary).

Evergreen Shooting Club: The shooting range is located near the North Saskatchewan River about 8 km southeast of Drayton Valley. The club features 2 covered lines; one over the 100 yd handgun/smallbore range, the other over the 200 yd bigbore range. The club also holds trap shooting every Wednesday nights, May-Sept. Brazeau Bowbenders Archery Club: Located north of Hwy 22 on Rg. Rd 71 hosts annual events and competitions during the summer. Membership application forms can be picked up at Dudley's Outdoor Escape (by the Sobey's). For more information, call Leonard Claffey 780-898-2489 or 780-542-2778.
