Push To Open Nature Initiative

August 4, 2010

New wilderness adventures for Albertans with disabilities.

The Government of Alberta is hosting one of its five inclusive nature challenges this summer in Drayton Valley! The Province collaborates with private industry and volunteers to expand inclusive nature challenges through its Push To Open Nature Initiative.

"This is an exciting project. Working together, we are making provincial parks more accessible to all Albertans," said Tourism, Parks and Recreation Minister Cindy Ady. "These events will give participants and volunteers a chance to explore nature from an entirely new perspective."

A number of non-profit organizations, societies and clubs are involved through the Push To Open Society. To volunteer or to join the Push To Open Nature Society, visit www.albertaparks.ca/pushtoopen, email pushtoopen@gov.ab.ca or call 403.678.5508 (dial toll free by calling 310.0000)
